Inner Combustion I Photoshop Action

Just finished the newest Dresden Files novel? Been watching the Underworld Saga again? Or maybe it’s that stack of anime DVDs piled up on your coffee table. Whatever the inspiration, you’re feeling especially magical. Now with Inner Combustion I, you can unleash your inner flames… mostly through your eyes and mouth.

Create beautiful, haunting images with Inner Combustion I, a stepped Photoshop Action that walks you gently through the process of creating an intense magical effect. When complete, your subject’s eyes and mouth will glow with otherworldly flame. Atmospheric effects tie everything together with strands of real magic and charged energy particles.

All effects are editable and sample adjustment layers have been added. Please experiment and customize to your satisfaction. If you create something awesome, post it to Nice Incredible’s Facebook page. We’d love to see what you create!

The action has been tested in Photoshop CC 2015 (English only). PLEASE NOTE: This action runs filters which are not available in older versions of Photoshop.

If you’re not using an English version of Photoshop, you can always switch it over to English and then revert back using this method.

For best results, use high resolution photos. Preferably in the range of 2500px – 3500px. The quality of the effects generated by the actions reduce the smaller the photo.

It’s been thoroughly tested to ensure there are no errors. If you do experience an error, send an email and I’ll be glad to work through it with you. [email protected]

All layers are tidy and clearly organized for easy editability.

Tips & Advice

When it comes to complex Photoshop actions, there is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all action. Every photo is unique and may need a little extra love. For this reason (and because we all know how much you like to tweak things), all effects have been left fully editable. Should you find the subject of your photo not quite large enough, simply scale the effects up or down.

Light sources can be changed easily by simply editing the gradient fills.

For situations when you don’t need either eyes or mouth to flame, just paint in a small area, then turn off those layers as desired.
